In my class this Saturday I will be covering a multitude of extended techniques for bassoon. One of the biggest goals of this course is to show how easy it can be to integrate these techniques into your everyday playing. For example in this video below I use a lot of multiphonics, harmonic improvisation, microtonal pitch bends, and maneuvering through the entire range of bassoon smoothly. combing these techniques has helped me learn how to just shred, and have more performances that allow me to fully express my artistry outside of the western context of the bassoon.
